Exploring the expression pattern and function of mammalian deafness genes in Drosophila

In collaboration with Dr. Andy Groves, we generated a catalog of mammalian (human and mouse) deafness genes and their orthologous genes in Drosophila and assessed the expression and function of a subset of these in the fly auditory (Johnston's) organ.
