Methods: A strategy to determine whether a variant of interest may be pathogenic using fruit flies

We published a video protocol that discusses the different strategies we use to study the functional consequences of genetic variants of interest identified as disease candidates through clinical studies. The protocol describes our 'rescue based' and 'over-expression based' strategies that we routinely use in the UDN MOSC Drosophila Core.
