Review: Making sense out of missense mutations in Notch receptors using Drosophila

I highlight 18 missense mutations in fly Notch that have provided important structure function information, and further discusses how this knowledge can be applied to understand the molecular mechanisms that underlie Notch related human diseases such as CADASIL (Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Sub-cortical Infarcts and Leukoencephalopathy) and diverse types of cancer.
